LiberiComm is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all users, including children who access pupil accounts through the platform. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and only collect the information required to operate our service effectively.

1. Who owns your data?

You own and control the data you upload or create on LiberiComm.

This includes any pupil information entered by teachers, parents, or professionals.

LiberiComm does not request personal data directly from pupils. Any pupil details stored on the platform are added by an adult user, who is responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent.

2. What data we collect

2.1 Adult users (teachers, parents, professionals, schools)

When you create an account, we collect:

• name (optional after registration)
• email address
• username (optional after registration)
• password
• account type
• occupation information (optional after registration)
• billing information for paid plans

(processed securely by Stripe — LiberiComm does not store card details)

Users may also create and upload resources or generate images through the OpenAI API.

These resources remain the property of the user.

2.2 Pupil accounts

Pupil accounts require only a first name or unique nickname.

Pupils do not provide email addresses or passwords.

Pupil accounts can access assigned activities and may have progress or scores recorded.

Pupil data always remains under the control of the adult user who created it.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• manage your LiberiComm account
• enable creation, saving, and publishing of resources
• support pupil accounts and assigned activities
• process payments for paid plans
• send optional updates or service messages
• maintain platform performance, safety, and security

We never sell personal data.

4. Data storage and security

Data is stored securely using reputable hosting providers.

All connections to LiberiComm use encrypted HTTPS.

Access to system data is restricted to authorised staff and only when required for support or platform maintenance.

5. Backups and data retention

LiberiComm performs routine system backups to support reliable platform operation.

However, continuous or error-free data preservation cannot be guaranteed.

We retain user data for as long as the account remains active.

Inactive accounts may be deleted after a period of extended inactivity, in line with our data retention schedule.

Pupil activity data can be deleted at any time by the adult user who created it.

6. Sharing data

We only share data with trusted third parties necessary to operate the service, including:

• hosting and server providers
• payment processors such as Stripe
• OpenAI API for image generation
• email or notification providers

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with any external organisations.

We only share data when required to provide the service or where the user explicitly authorises a connection.

7. Keeping your account secure

You are responsible for:

• keeping your password confidential
• logging out on shared devices
• supervising pupil access
• ensuring you have consent to upload pupil information

LiberiComm will never request your password via email or phone.

• request deletion of your data
